Real Time Energy Monitoring and Touchscreen Dashboards
We have installed real-time electricity and water metering at all District sites along with touchscreen monitors with energy “dashboards” near the front door to see how energy is being used in the building. With this system, the District can zero in on equipment that is using the most electricity or water and at what times during the day in order to make adjustments to lower or optimize consumption – reducing our carbon footprint and cost.
The touchscreens enable students and staff to access the program to see for themselves how much electricity and water is being consumed at this moment and at times earlier, as well as see how much natural gas was consumed in previous months and see which rooms in the building are warmer, cooler or right at the optimal temperature.
